Sharon Nevin

USAging Delegate

Sharon Nevins, LCSW, MA-PPM, is the Director-Public Guardian for the San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian (DAAS-PG). Sharon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certified to practice in the State of California.

In her role as Director-Public Guardian, Sharon provides oversight for the County’s Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Adult programs and Office of the Public Guardian. The DAAS-PG provides a robust array of programs and services to ensure seniors and at-risk individuals have a broad range of resources to improve or maintain choice, independence and quality of life.

She is a current and active member locally and nationally as an advocate with: USAging Executive Board, California Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A) Executive Board, the Implementing the Master Plan for Aging in CA Together (IMPACT) Stakeholder Committee, County Welfare Directors Association of California (CWDA), the Council on Aging - Southern California (COASC), and the San Bernardino County Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Taskforce.

She earned a dual master’s degree in Social Work and Public Administration, as well as a bachelor’s in Sociology.
